Garden Competition 2024
The Federation were absolutely delighted to again be part of East Ayrshire Council’s Annual Garden Competition, this year the judging came down to Our Volunteers Victoria and Marie Devine, they were blown away with the quality and hard work that went into the gardens on display, which didn’t make their job picking winners easy. They attended a brilliant prize-giving and got to meet some of the prize-winners. They were also delighted with the small token of appreciation from East Ayrshire Council, presented by Councillor Barry Douglas. In a fitting tribute to our old friend John McKenzie, an award for best Community Garden was presented by his daughters, Amberley and Victoria McKenzie to the Winners – Netherthird Community Garden. They were thanked by receiving a token along with fellow guest presenter Sharon Tomlinson by Former Provost Jim Todd.
